The Missionary Advisory Council (MAC) provides guidance to elders and to applicants for cross cultural mission under the AMT umbrella. This involves asking candidates and their home churches to complete questionnaires, face to face interviews, advice on how to proceed, arranging of deputation opportunities, liaising with AMT. It also gives encouragement and support to missionaries in the field and while on furlough.
The MAC assists with debriefing while missionaries are on home assignment. MAC (VIC) is represented on the National Board of AMT. The MAC (VIC) promotes mission information and opportunities for cross-cultural service through regular MAP (Mission Awareness Programs), conferences and literature.

GLO Ministries purpose of being is mission. Our practical training programs are a means to this end. GLO has a training centre in Tasmania and a second centre in Sydney for training and for national and international administration. Other training centres initiated by GLO function overseas. Mission enterprise is being carried out in Australia and in seventeen overseas countries.
Our mission goals are based on the Lord’s Great Commission of going, making disciples, baptizing and teaching them. Our strategy follows the Apostle Paul’s model of going to a location, sharing the gospel, gaining converts, encouraging and discipling them, beginning New Testament churches, having elders appointed and then moving on to the next project.
